What can I expect for my experience at The Roar?
Guests will enter a secret passageway to the 1920’s where they will be greeted by their host. Individuals and groups will then be seated at an assigned table to enjoy the hustle and bustle of live music and prohibition era cocktails. Group by group, we will take guests into a hidden experience to explore 4 moments of the times.
Where is the experience located?
Downtown Chicago, between Rush St. and Michigan Ave. on the “Hubbard Street Pedestrian Path”. It is on the upper level. If you are coming from Rush St. you will need to take the stairs up to the pedestrian walkway. Look for the green newsstand on the Wrigley Plaza.

Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
The speakeasy and experience is located indoors. You may be outdoors for a short wait to enter the speakeasy. Dress appropriately for the weather & bring an umbrella if needed.

How long does the experience last?
Based on your time of arrival, the entire session will last 90 minutes. 20 or more minutes of your experience will be exploring the 4 different 1920’s scenes, and the rest of your time will be spent enjoying your company, the music, and an intimate bar of cocktails. Guests may not stay past their ticketed session time.
Is it COVID secure and safe?
The Experience is designed to meet guidelines set by the CDC and the State of Illinois. Cast members are tested regularly and masks are encouraged for those who feel most comfortable wearing them, when not eating or drinking.
Is there air conditioning?
Yes.
Is the experience accessible for deaf people?
Yes. There will be an option to receive a printed version of our stories to view during the experience. There is not an ASL interpreter on site.
What accessibility options do we have for someone visually impaired?
If the guest needs guidance from a staff member, we will be available to create accommodations that provide comfort and guidance as requested. Please let us know in advance.

Is there a Content Warning?
The Tasting Experience contains flickering lights, discussion of murder, domestic and state violence, war, addiction, interactions with law enforcement and the mob.

Will there be strobe lights or haze?
No strobe lights are used, though there are flickering lights in the Tasting Experience. A light haze may be used at times.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Yes.
Can I take photos or record the experience?
Photos are not permitted in the 4-room Tasting Experience. However, feel free to take and share photos in the Bar and common areas. When taking photos, please make sure not to disturb other customers. Professional equipment and tripods are not permitted. Guests cannot record the experience for any purposes other than social media. No flash photography.
Are there chairs available? Can I be seated during the experience/exhibition?
Our main bar room will have tables and chairs. The experience is all walking/standing.
Will restrooms be available on site?
Yes.
Is there vegan or gluten free options available?
There are no gluten free or vegan options. We do have a vegetarian option. See our menu here.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Masks are recommended to those who prefer to wear them, but they are not mandatory within the experience.
Do I need to arrive at the start of my scheduled session?
Yes, we recommend arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled session.
What happens if I arrive late?
If you arrive 20 minutes after the start of your scheduled session, you will not be allowed into the space. We need to respect the experience of the guests who are within the experience. No refunds will be granted to late arrivals.

Is there an age requirement?
21+
Is the venue ADA compliant?
Yes. For ADA access, guests will enter at 437 N. Rush Street. Please let us know in advance so we can have a staff member assist you.

Are wheelchairs available to rent?
No.

Do I have to walk up stairs?
For the main entry, it does require you to walk up and down a few steps. If you are on Rush St. there is a staircase on the northwest side of Rush and the Pedestrian Walkway that you need to walk up. If you are unable to use stairs, you can also use the elevator if needed, this entry is located at the doors on 437 Rush St. where someone can assist you.
Is there parking available?
Street parking and a parking lot for pay across the street on Rush Street.
What if the weather is bad?
Bring a raincoat or umbrella for waiting outside until your session begins! The event is rain, snow, or shine.
What are the prohibited items at the experience?
Flash photography, alcohol, weapons, bad attitudes, smoking, anything which may disturb the other patrons.

Can I purchase a ticket at the event?

Are refunds allowed? What is the exchange policy?
Tickets are generally non-refundable. Ticket non-refund terms and conditions are agreed to before purchase. However, under special circumstances, you can contact us and our user support team will process your request. Make sure to include your ticket order number.

Is there a Military discount?
No.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No, your contactless tickets will be validated directly in the Fever App.
Can I transfer my tickets to another person?
Yes, you can transfer your tickets to anyone for free. It is as easy as clicking "Transfer Tickets" on your ticket on the Fever App. Please contact us for additional help. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
Can I reschedule my tickets to another date/time, or upgrade/downgrade my ticket?
We may be able to help reschedule or exchange your ticket for another date, time or ticket type that has not already sold out. Please contact us for more information. Make sure to include your ticket order number.
What are the official sellers for this experience?
Official tickets for [Name of the experience] can only be purchased on Fever. Tickets are not available on any other website or ticketing platform.
Can I make a Group Booking?
If you would like to book for a group, please contact us to get in touch with your preferred attendance date and the size of your group.
I can't find my ticket. What can I do?
You can find your ticket with the QR code in the Fever app, within the Tickets section. If you don't have it installed, you can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play. Remember to log in using the same account that you used when buying the tickets. If you still cannot find your ticket, please contact us.
